Just like "Musics" is one of these silly Frenchisms Lol

You know, Nao, any impression you may have to the contrary not withstanding, if you came over here, your French accent would be a tremendous asset, both in terms of employment and in terms of making the ladies swoon.

And by the way, about a quarter of the English language is a "silly" Frenchism!!  Wink

My, my, my...
http://files.cyna.net/sorry.avi
Not so much "exciting" as anyone could think, uh.
My written English is actually quite misleading. I'm SO much better at typing in English, than I am at speaking the words! I can't stand myself speaking anything else than French.
(My Japanese accent is not bad, still I fail miserably when I try to speak it.)

Raveneye, are you planning to tell us about the bug? Wink

I haven't received a single bug report in more than 24 hours. Quite a bit surprised I have to say. Dennis, no more crashes to report on your W98 machine?

Your words, accent and looks are a true reflection of a true French romantic gentleman who can 'pull the wool' over any fair maiden especially if they are British!!  Us Britons love French accents.  Lol

Well I can see why my brother-in-law is marrying an Englishwoman then Wink
And I thought that's because *we* French love British accents Wink

Seriously, my accent is so bad it could kill a buffalo without me even having to speak!

No!  Maybe KMJ 2006 v1.0 finally reconciled itself to running on such a low-end system!! Lol

Your written English is certainly excellent, Nao.  I'm sure you could master the spoke word if you were immersed in it.

I would agree with Dennis, Gilles.

When you gave us the spoken file to teach us how to pronounce Kyodai, I thought you did very well speaking in English.  Your voice inflection was a little off, but it was pretty darned close.  Who cares anyway?  You've never heard me attempt to speak French.  I dare say, you'd have a good laugh at my expense.  I'm trying hard to learn the language, but right now I struggle mightily with French grammar, especially conjugating verbs.

As for French and English accents, I love them both.  I'm fascinated when an English citizen comes here, and I get a chance to listen to them talk.    The French accent is a little harder for my ears because it's so much softer and smoother than our own language, but I love to listen to it.

Well Dennis, maybe you can find out one day why it would crash thrice in a day and never again a few days later... There must have been some program running in the background to mess it up, I don't know.
I guess I'd be able to improve my accent if I was forced to speak English on a daily basis, sure, but I'd have to move to, let's say Australia, for this to happen Nah!

booster, all I can say is, a person's accent won't catch my attention if they're not speaking their native language. I prefer listening to people speaking in a language they're comfortable with Wink

I am trying to envision Australian English with a French accent.  Eheh

LOL  The Aussies get teased here at times for their accent.  We have two very hot, very popular Aussies here right now, country music star Keith Urban and movie-starlet Nicole Kidman.  That they're dating has got Hollywood followers in an uproar.

Well, Gilles, you once joked about moving to the Caribbean islands.  Most of the folks on those islands speak English.  If you wanted the best of both worlds, you could go to one that's French-owned.  Smile  I bet Milady wouldn't object to life in paradise.

Actually I have plans to visit a friend in the Martinique island Wink
Oh, and we also have a famous Aussie in Paris, Kylie Minogue, who's under cancer treatment a couple thousand feet from the place I live. I just can't get "Can't get you out of my head" out of my head Wink

Lol  Funny.

Funny you plan to go to Martinique because I was going to mention it.  My friend's wife is from St. Maarten, which is a Dutch island.

When will you be going?  I envy you the time in the sun.  We've been under constant clouds for the past two weeks.  I need some warm weather, clear blue water, and lots of sunshine!  A virgin strawberry daiquiri would be icing on the cake.  Nah!

Edit:  Not funny about Minogue's cancer, but your comment.  Should clarify that.
