Anyone out there still using version 19.99?
I find this very stable!!!
As the Americans would say, "If it ain't broke don't fix it!"

Well, you're missing out on a lot of new features, man...
If it ain't broke, don't fix it okay, but if you can have both, then do it...
And you can. Just install the new version. The old version will still be there. It will still work. You can install/uninstall any of these two versions separately.

That's interesting, Nao....I had thought it better to uninstall an earlier version before installing the newer one!!!
As for uninstalling either one I will give it a go!
Good night

Well, this is valid for KMJ 2006 and an older KMJ version (without the "2006"). This will also be valid for KMJ 2006 and 2007, etc.
Still, updating KMJ 2006 versions doesn't require any more to uninstall the previous KMJ 2006!

Tried BOTH versions....worked very well
The latest version of 2006 looks and plays better than the earlier ones!

Yes, Intrepid!!
Had a problem with the hard drive.....last week it had it!
Had to buy a new one....perhaps that was the cause of the first version of Kyodai 2006 not looking good and hard to play using the mouse!
Have already installed ALL tilesets and layouts into BOTH 19.99 and 2006...seem ok now
Today we  had our first cold snap (in Tasmania)   BBrrrrrrr

Well, I seem to be having some of the same problems.
I had a hard drive crash and replaced it with a new one. Exact same type I had before.

The crazy thing is that I have two Hd's and the second one which had Kyodai installed was reformatted and so the game is actualy being installed on the same drive. But the 2006 will simply not play.

Can't even get it to stabalize long enough to get through the registration.

Where is this down load of 1999? Id like to try that to see if it will run. I have seen about every version but.

I really miss this game

What exactly does it do when it crashes?

Nao,

When the game does its first startup the window opens with the swirling Kyodai name and the game chooser.

As soon as I move my mouse it freezes momentarily. Then starts moving again but slightly jerky.
When I click on the menu, in this case the help menu to register, it goes into dramatic slo mo.

With the registration screen finally open, I click on the name and and the slo mo continues. An insertion point appears and I can enter one letter. The game freezes and then the letter I entered shows up with another insertion point. It goes this way until I finally get the registration done. A long wait between letters.

It is very frustrating as the same actions go on once I get to a game play screen.

This is all with as much of the standard items deselected from the start up screen.

I have an AMD 2600+ Processor,
ASUS A7N8X-X MB
1.5G DDR Ram
Nvidia 4200ti  128m graphics card,
84.21 Nvidia Drivers (last release)
WD 80g 7200 HD
WindowsXP SP2

My other thought was to try and find one of the older Nvidia drivers. The game was working fine with my old setup (Pre crash and burn), and has beeen just one of the best games I ever owned.

I am not convinced that this is a game issue yet, but guess I am just at a point where I am screeming for help.

BTW I have UT2004 installed on the same drive and have played on line as well as single player without a hitch or burp.
I also have Hardwood 3 card game that works without a problem.

Have you installed the newer or older drivers you mentioned?

Just a note that the game works just fine with NVidia 8.1.9.8 drivers.  Even on an older GeForce2 MX graphics card.
