Reminds me of all the old Cold War acronyms... My two favourites were always MAD (Mutual Assured Destruction) and NUTS (Nuclear Utilization Targeting Strategy). While the stabilizing influence of the MAD philosophy predominated through most of the Cold War, both Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush have clearly favoured the NUTS approach to nuclear strategy. Either way, the world as we know it would come to an end. |
