Well the plan would be to go over there (with Milady) in late February, to enjoy the local carnival as well. But I'm not sure I'm willing to fly so many miles (I have ear problems every time I fly). Would be my first time to the American continent.
The weather is not too good either in France.

I'm sorry if I offended you, Ant5
Dennis I wasn't offended, I was said what I said tongue in cheek and slightly sarcasticly, it is really difficult to write the appropriate inflection. Eheh

Reason for the reply is there was a sight implication that the abbreviation Maths came after Math.

Gilles, I remember a long time ago you said you were a bit of a homebody.  Now I understand why.  Getting bad earaches from flying is a bummer.  Isn't there something you can do to help it?  Would your doctor have any ideas?

Your weather forecast looks slightly warmer than ours and a bit sunnier.  I can handle the cold, even though it's not preferable.  It's the clouds that get me.  I need my sunshine!

We have two very hot, very popular Aussies here right now, country music star Keith Urban and movie-starlet Nicole Kidman.

Don't forget one of my favorite actors, Russell Crowe!

Note that I didn't say he was one of my favorite human beings!!  Lol

Totally unintended!

The plural form did throw me the first time I ever saw it, but as I said in another post, it really does make sense once you think about it.

Quite right, Dennis.  I'd forgotten all about him.

booster,
When I went to Australia and Thailand back in '01, it was the first time I boarded a plane. I caught a cold in Australia and had an ear infection. I didn't know I wasn't supposed to fly in that condition, and when I flew to Thailand, my right ear was severely wounded during the take-off phase. I went half-deaf for a whole week and had to go to the hospital in Bangkok several times to treat my ear. I managed to make it through to France without any problems, but since then my right ear has never been the same.
I used to be terrified with the idea of flying because of plane crashes. Now I'm only terrified because of what could happen to my ears. Silly, uh? Once bitten, twice shy. Or as we would say in France, chat échaudé craint l'eau froide.

Wow.  It's not silly at all, Gilles.  Can't say as I blame you one bit!  Once your hearing is damaged, you never gain it back.  That's a dear price to pay for taking a plane ride.

So what do you plan to do then?  Will you still try to go to Martinique?

I still haven't decided on that!
I'd rather go back to Naples, actually. It's a shorter trip and I absolutely loved the place. (Remember the Pompei pictures I posted here? Wink)
I would love to show it around to my girlfriend.

I suppose going by ship is out of the question?

My dad spent the better part of 20 years in the U.S. Air Force but was deathly afraid of flying because early on a plane he was sitting in but got bumped off of just prior to takeoff by a higher ranking late arrival crashed in the English Channel, killing everyone.  Once he was in long enough to figure out how to work the system, he always managed to travel by ship instead.

I remember the pictures, Gilles.  It looked like a lovely place! Smile

Going by ship had crossed my mind, too, Dennis.  But it takes longer and probably costs quite a bit more, doesn't it?

Raveneye, are you planning to tell us about the bug? Wink

Well, turns out its kind of unpredictable -- I changed a few settings and it vanished and now I can't seem to make it come back.  So its there but very hard to reproduce = I guess it's not really a problem! Nah!

So you can kick back and relax, Nao.  No worries!

The stones (former small tiles) appeared to be partially greyed out in all the small tileset games, but only when the platform was turned off.  They were restored to full colour when the platform was reactivated.
